Air Force List

The Air Force List is compiled and published by the Royal Air Force Personnel Management Agency (PMA) by order of the Defence Council for the convenience of the Royal Air Force. The first Lists of Officers of the Royal Air Force was published in April 1918, when the Royal Air Force (RAF) was formed by the amalgamation of the Royal Flying Corps (RFC) and the Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS).

KnowUK includes the current edition of The Air Force List which is now an annual official publication recording the names of current serving officers, warrant officers and master air crew of the Royal Air Force and officers of the Royal Air Force Reserve. It also lists the appointments of various officers in the Ministry of Defence, Command Headquarters &c. as well as details of Battle Honours of the RAF Squadrons.
